Electrolysis Hair Removal
Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a long-standing method of permanent hair removal that offers impressive results. Safe, reliable and gentle electrolysis is a reliable alternative to non-lasting hair removal methods. Unlike other hair removal methods, electrolysis tackles each hair individually, making it effective on all hair and skin types.
How does electrolysis work?
An extremely fine needle or wire is inserted into the hair follicle without puncturing the skin. Next, an electric current is delivered through the probe to the follicle’s base, permanently destroying the hair’s root. The hair is then gently removed with tweezers. After treatment, the hair can no longer reproduce and won’t grow new hair.
Electrolysis can be carried out on any part of the body where unwanted hair is present, such as the face, legs, underarms, and bikini line. However, since it’s highly targeted and time-consuming, it is best for small treatment areas and ideal for sparse, sporadic hairs.
How many treatments will you need?
As several factors influence hair growth, you’ll require several electrolysis treatments to achieve the best results. The total number of sessions needed for permanent hair removal varies from person to person.
We provide electrolysis treatment in 15 or 30-minute sessions targeting a small group of hairs in one session.
Your first appointment will take 30 minutes and include a thorough consultation.
Does electrolysis hurt?
Electrolysis is relatively pain-free, although it can be uncomfortable. You may feel a stinging and pricking sensation as each hair follicle is treated.
After treatment, your skin might be a little red and feel like it has mild sunburn. These effects will usually fade within 24 hours. You can expect some mild scabbing.
